Purpose & Objectives

  • Produce better players in NZ, through increasing the number of training opportunities & playing hours for footballers aged 9-12 years

  • Provide clear training guidelines, based on international best practice, for junior footballers who are showing potential to play at a higher level​​​​

  • Increase and retain the number of junior footballers through delivery of high quality football experiences

ADMISSION

PROCESS

Only players born in 2010 to 2007 are eligible in 2019.

 

The Skills Centre is open to all junior players who wish to play more football and further develop their ability within a familiar environment.

Players must be 100% committed to training and learning.

The NZF Skills Centre is delivered by coaches with the NZF Junior Level 3, the highest of junior coaching accreditation in New Zealand.

Age Groups offered

Players will be grouped based on the below age bands:

U12 Mixed - Boys & Girls born 2007-08

U10 Mixed - Boys & Girls born 2009-10

Term Dates

We offer a year-round programme delivered in 4 blocks aligned with the school terms.

Session Times

U10 & U12 group sessions are run separately.

U10 - 4pm to 5pm

U12 - 5pm to 6pm

Cost

Full payment is due 2 working days prior to the first session, please ensure payment is made on time to avoid your place being given to someone else.

Term 2 2020 - $50 for 5 sessions

Term 3 2020 - $80 for 8 sessions 

Term 4 2020 - $80 for 8 sessions 

What to bring

All players are expected to arrive at least 15 minutes early so that sessions can be started on time.

- Academy training kit

- Football boots with rubber studs or moulds

- Shin pads

- Drink bottle (please note there is nowhere to refill your bottle so bring a spare and be sure to hydrate appropriately beforehand)

- Rain Jacket, a towel and warm clothes to change into afterwards incase of bad weather

Session Notifications & Wet Weather / Cancellation Process

Cancellations will be communicated via Teamer App which all members will be added to and required to confirm session attendance on each week. If you do not join the App you will be unable to receive training notifications.

Sessions will only be cancelled due to weather when the surface is unplayable or conditions are unsafe. If a session is cancelled a catch-up will be scheduled for the last week of the term OR first week of the new term. If we are unable to schedule a catch-up session then the cost of the cancelled session will be credited to your account.

TRAININGKIT

All players are expected to wear full academy training kit to all sessions. The training kit is made up of the items shown below and can be purchased via Ultra Football. Select Clubs     Fencibles United AFC and use the password: fen16.
